I preach to everyone to do their scrapbooking, but honestly I’m the worst at doing ANY scrapbooking. Enter “My Digital Studio.” Not only is this a digital scrapbooking program, but it’s also a digital calendar maker, a digital card maker, a digital design aid to construct your projects without using any supplies, and it’s so much more. This product mixes two of my favorite things: papercrafting and computers! Don’t let the computer part scare you though. It’s quite easy to design beautiful projects in just minutes even if you have a love/hate relationship with your computer. My hope is that if I only have a few minutes to create a project, I’ll already have the design worked out in “My Digital Studio” and I’ll be able to sit down and use my computer designs as my inspiration and quickly produce my project.
Here’s a sample of just how beautiful a “handmade” digital card can be even if it just took me five minutes to make it.

My First Digital Card
All elements of this card can be found under the Designer Kit – Christmas Jingle.
Designer Background paper: Real Red Small Polka Dot Background Paper and Christmas Jingle – paper 2. The Christmas Jingle paper 2 was layered on top of Old Olive
Stamped Elements: All Holidays – Christmas. For this stamped element, I changed the color to Whisper White and added a Chocolate Chip shadow.
Embellishment Elements: Christmas Jingle – circle 1. Nothing fancy here. Just plopped it on the card.
“My Digital Studio” will be available October 1, 2009. You can check out information on “My Digital Studio” in the Holiday Mini catalog.
Thought I’d at least upload a quarterly project! Here’s something that I think you’ll enjoy. It’s a combination of cards and a 3D item. Oh, and a picture of the birthday boy. Of course this was in February, but… what the heck! Enjoy!

Just Some Baby Things

Birthday Boy!
This is the last installment of my Christmas Gifts. The first is an old baking soda can that I covered with Ski Slope background paper Just as in the clear paint buckets, I used the Scallop Edge punch to scallop around the bottom of the Chocolate Chip cardstock. I was in a glittery mood so I took a piece of Whisper White and kinda curved it when I cut it. Used 2-way glue to add glitter to make it look like snow and then adhered that to the bottom of the can. Stamped Mr. Twigster in Chocolate Chip onto Whisper White and colored him with an Aqua Painter and ink pads… Bashful Blue and Tangerine Tango (I believe). I cut him out and adhered these tiny little Christmas bulbs that I’ve had for oh maybe 15 years. Yes, I finally used them!
The turquoise tin is actually another cookie container. My good friend had a cookie exchange and I took my cookies in this tin. Of course I left the tin and the Mr. Twigster can for her.
I used tissue paper and wheeled the Snow wheel in Bashful Blue. Then I simply cut a 2 1/2″ strip of Bashful Blue cardstock and wrapped it around the container. The biggest layer of the medallion is actually cut from chipboard that I had laying around. Yes, another piece of stuff I finally used! I layered a Coluzzled Kiwi Kiss circle on top of that and then I layered little Mr. Penguin from Punch Pals onto that. I used the smallest scallop circle from the Sizzix die for that. All in all, these projects took very little time!

Hope you enjoy and if you have any questions, please let me know!
Here’s the 2nd installment of my long overdue Christmas Gifts. This particular project was given to my son’s teacher. I saw these cute little magazine holders and just had to try one. Here’s the pattern I used as the basis for my version of this project. There are many other versions including a holder that holds regular-sized cards. My cards measured 3×3 and I think I fit nine plus envelopes into the holder. I used my favorite color combination these days – Basic Gray, Not Quite Navy, and Kiwi Kiss. I also used one of my favorite new stamp sets Pocket Silhouettes and Typeset Alphabet. Also included in this fun project are the scallop circle punch, gray taffeta ribbon, and Urban Garden background paper.
Enjoy! If you have any questions, please let me know.
I know it’s after the holidays, but I thought I could stretch it just a weeeee bit longer. If I can get myself together, I’ll post a few more samples this week. We’ll see how that goes. This is my daughter’s first year of middle school. Gone are the days of making a few teacher gifts. She has 7 teachers. Of course we had to have one for each of her teachers.
Here’s my first installment for your viewing pleasure. I purchased the clear paint buckets from Staples oh so long ago. I’ve finally used them. Each of the buckets is a little bit different. The height of the designer paper isn’t really important. Just make sure you like the look!

Cookie Containers
I took this idea from Nichole Heady’s blog {capture the moment}. Boy, does she have some really neat stuff out there. It’s a constant source of inspiration for me! The paper is Stampin’ Up’s! Ski Slope designer series background paper. I decorated the bottom edge of the top paper with the Scallop Edge Punch. Used the Punch Pals set to stamp the little penguin on the smallest scallop from the Scallop Circle Die #2 for the Big Shot. Colored the penguin with an Aqua Painter and SU! ink pads and then layered that on top of another Big Shot die. It’s actually a flower die from the Flower Layers w/ Leaf. If you look carefully, you can see that I stacked my Oreo Truffles according to flavor (I know… it’s a little anal). I separated them using the larger of the two circles from the Scallop Circle Die #2. I had to experiment with a few different types of paper (first I tried vellum… didn’t work too well and all the truffles fell down the sides of the paint bucket) when I finally decided that cardstock worked the best.
Hope you enjoy my take on the cookie container. If you have any questions or suggestions, please leave me a comment and let me know.

We had Stamp Camp last night. A lovely group of ladies for sure! Here’s a sample of the Make & Take we made. I was totally inspired by Dawn Griffith and her fantastic daily videos on YouTube. She’s not only a great stamper, she’s also quite funny! Hope you enjoy!

In my sample I used the following:
Cardstock: Bashful Blue, Chocolate Chip, Kiwi Kiss, Ski Slope Designer Paper
Ink: Chocolate Chip
Stamps: Crazy for Cupcakes
Accessories: Silver Brads, Paper Scorer, Key Tag Punch, Scallop Circle Punch, Crafters Tool Kit
It’s that time of year again. Can you believe it??? Just a little over a month till Christmas. I’ve got some great cards planned for this year for my annual Christmas Stamp-a-Stack. You will also get envelopes and instructions for each of your cards. Here’s a sampling of the cards that you’ll create.

- Cards inspired by Lynn Put (http://thequeensscene.blogspot.com/), Amy Kennedy (www.stampchic.stampinup.net), & Gretchen Barron (www.gretchenbarron.typepad.com) Thanks so much ladies!

OMG… i can’t believe it!!! i made a card… all by myself.
it has been way too long since i’ve posted anything of note. i just haven’t been feeling that creative for way too many months. i bought a ton of supplies when the new catalog came out and was feeling quite guilty for spending so much and not using any of the supplies. i forced myself to use some of the items that i had just gotten and some things that i hadn’t used in a long time. here’s what i came up with for my personal challenge! i hope you enjoy it.
here are the supplies i used for this card:
- stamp sets: many merry messages
- cardstock: chocolate chip, riding hood red, baja breeze, whisper white
- ink: riding hood red
- accessories: felt flurries, rhinestone brads fire circles, ribbon originals alpine, big shot, cuttlebug embossing folder, crafters toolkit
